Lansing, MI — Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. was presented last night with the 2011 “Prosperity Driver Award” by Capital Area Michigan Works and Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LeapInc) during their “Getting the Job Done” annual dinner and awards celebration.

The Prosperity Driver Award recognizes companies that steer in the direction of success, contribute high economic impact as a job creator, bring wealth into the community through expansion and diversification efforts, and are committed to the region’s long-term prosperity through demonstrated efforts as leaders in the community. The award was accepted by Liz Haar, president and CEO of Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. and LeapInc board member.

“In recent years, other companies have chosen to leave the state, but Accident Fund chose to stay in downtown Lansing to help contribute to Lansing’s economic transformation,” Haar said. “We are committed to investing in the future of Michigan by keeping our national headquarters in downtown Lansing.”
Additionally, during the dinner, “Catalyst for Change Awards,” which celebrate transformative change for the region, were presented to Peckham and Relevant Academy of Eaton County.

“I want to sincerely thank Capital Area Michigan Works and Leap for this award,” Haar said. “I truly appreciate of this recognition and am thrilled to be in the company of Peckham and Relevant Academy of Eaton County as honorees for 2011, as well as amongst the list of past honorees who have been great champions of leadership to the Greater Lansing community.”
